FACE OF VARSITY COMPETITION RULES

Rules of Entry

  1. The Face of Varsity Competition is managed by Varsity Bars, a brand of Barracuda Group Limited.  For competition details please visit http://www.varsitybars.com/face-of-varsity.html or write to:

  2. Persons eligible to take part in the Face of Varsity competition must be over 18 years of age.
  3. The subject for the Face of Varsity Competition is “Crazy, Sexy and Cool People”. 
  4. Entrants can submit up to twenty images of people or themselves.
  5. All images should be in JPG format. 
  6. Images must not be manipulated except to remove spots or scratches. We reserve the right to exclude any image without reason.
  7. Each entry should be accompanied with the following details:
    The full name of the person in the photograph
    The mobile number of the person in the photograph
    The Email address of the person in the photograph
    The sex of the person in the photograph
    Confirmation that you have the permission of the person in the photograph to use their image in the Face of Varsity Competition
  8. Digital entries should be sent by SMS to 07950 081 001 or uploaded via the varsitybars.com website. Varsity Bars will not accept entries by email or by post.
  9. Images will be refused and deleted by our moderators if they are deemed to be inappropriate.
  10. The closing date for the third and final Casting is 28th February 2009.  
  11. No entries can be returned and receipt will not be acknowledged.
  12. The organisers accept no responsibility for entries lost, damaged or delayed in the upload, text or moderation processes. 
  13. A panel of judges will draw up three shortlists of images to be selected for the final competition in April 2009. A separate judging panel will then select 12 images from the shortlist to feature in the 2009 Face of Varsity poster campaign, and one person to win the modelling contract with ‘The Casting Suite’ agency.
  14. All entries must be original work and must not have been previously published.
  15. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photos entered.
  16. Entrants are responsibly for obtaining the express permission of the person in the photograph to allow it to be uploaded to the Face of Varsity website.
  17. By entering the competition, entrants grant the right for Barracuda Group, Varsity Bars and their agents to publish and exhibit short listed images in the Varsity Bars website, and any other media as they think fit, free of charge. Entrants will also be deemed to have consented to short listed images being used for Varsity Bars promotions. No fee will be payable for this use. Entrants agree to take part in post-competition publicity as required.
  18. Varsity Bars, Barracuda Group and their agents grant no protection to prevent the images uploaded or otherwise sent to the Face of Varsity competition to prevent their distribution across other internet websites over which they have no control.
  19. If visitors have a complaint about an image they should email webmaster@varsitybars.com with specific information about the image including the name and town given in the image detail screen. Visitors can also use the ‘Report Abuse’ link in the image detail screen. Complainants must also provide their telephone and email contact details to allow Varsity Bars and their agents to contact them directly about their complaint.
  20. Varsity Bars will investigate any complaint within 2 working days.
  21. The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. 
  22. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these rules.
