One of two Varsity bars in Southampton, this splendidly student-friendly venue is on London Road, at the corner of Carlton Crescent. Part of the ‘Bedford Place’ circuit, the Varsity is a great place to unwind at any time of the week.

Students and professionals alike can make full use of our free Wi-Fi, with no download limits or timers. Enjoy freshly ground coffee while you (pretend to) work. Great food is available all day and our menu is one of the best around for choice, quality and value.

Like sport? So do we, - in fact, we love it! With the ultimate in Sky Sports packages, you simply cannot miss a game at Varsity. Football, rugby, cricket, tennis, golf, Olympics, AFL, NFL, baseball, basketball….. anything we can get our hands on. And don’t be shy to make requests for other sports, even if the football is on we can always split screens so you can watch the International Goat Herding Championships…. if that’s what floats your boat.

Tuesday nights is The Student Pound Party!! Back with a vengeance after its summer holiday break, the Varsity Pound Party has to be the best around. £1 a drink on a great range of drinks such as Smirnoff, Jack Daniels, Fosters, Strongbow…..too many to name! No entry charge, but you may be asked to show your student I.D. and V-card.

This year Varsity launches its new cocktail menu!! Featuring the Mojito, Cosmopolitan, Mai Tai, Caipirinha and many more. This is one list you should definitely work you way through (…in a responsible manner, spread over many occasions of course…). Wednesday nights is a great night to sample the menu as you can TWO cocktails for only £5. You’re practically robbing us, but don’t feel bad!

Sundays at Varsity are the perfect way to end your week. Sunday roasts are simply fantastic, a huge plate of roasted chicken, Yorkshire pudding, mash potatoes, FRESH vegetables and roast potatoes. Magic. End the day with our quiz, and win yourself cash and drinks prizes. Four rounds of fun starting at 6.30pm, get your team together and ‘get your think on’.
