Varsity on Friar Lane is one of two Varsity’s in Leicester.It is situated beside a busy market place on Friar Lane and right next door to Leicester's busy town centre.

Our customers range from office workers out for a relaxing lunch-time meal or a casual drink to wind down after work, to the busy population of students from our two local universities.

Like dancing? Then we are the bar for you. We have just had a BRAND NEW dance floor for those looking to show off some moves, and a unique island bar central to the venue. We also have an upstairs area with extra seating and its very own bar.

We can therefore accommodate a range of customers ranging from couples coming in to have a nice quite drink, to office workers looking to have a meeting over a nice coffee, right up to our big groups of guys who just want to have a good time, with a nice pint over a game of their favourite sport. All of our sports games are also shown on a large overhead projected screen which can be seen from both floors.

All our food is served to exceptional standards and always in quick time to ensure those on a timed break still have time to chill out after a nice filling meal. Our range of food varies from the traditional all day breakfast, to a large sharing plates, or buckets in our case! We also have a suitable range of vegetarian meals available, and a set menu of 2 meals for £5, for those on a budget. And if you fancy a nice cold glass of wine with your meal, why not buy two large glasses and enjoy the rest of the bottle on us!

We also feature FREE WIFI along with a wide range of Sky Sports channels shown on our four plasma screens and our overhead projector. Looking for a good night out....come join us on a Thursday night for £1 a drink, or a Friday and Saturday night for our two for one deals. All our nights are hosted by resident DJ's playing a range of music from 8pm till late.

All our parties are hosted upstairs in a private area with a personal bar and access to the DJ for any request or shout outs you may have.
