Varsity Gloucester is a popular bar situated in the town centre, on Northgate Street.

We have a wide range of customers, from the business workers having lunch and using the free wi-fi to the students who enjoy our offers on food and drink and the pool table.

Varsity Gloucester has one floor with a number of seating areas where you can sit and eat; chat and socialise. From comfy sofas that appeal to those seeking a more intimate conversation, to booths for small groups and parties that want to watch the match on our plasma TV’s.

Our bar food is served straight from our kitchens in rapid time, so you can enjoy a pint and a bowl of chips with your mates or a more healthy sandwich and a glass of wine – whatever takes your fancy. Varsity Gloucester offers a two dine menu which runs all day. Food is served from 12-9 every day.

Varsity Gloucester is the best sports bar in town showing all types of sport on our three big projector screens, two bar plasma screens and a further four plasma screens situated around the bar. So no matter where you are sat you always have a good view!

And for all the rugby supporters, on Gloucester rugby match days we have a special offer on selected drinks for two hours before kick off, during the game and two hours after kick off, so come down and join the Varsity bar staff support their city's rugby club the best – GLOUCESTER!!

For students we offer a great student night @ our £1.25 party on a Wednesday with our resident DJ. On a Thursday, we’ve just introduced our new student party to get your weekend started – themed Thursday so come down and check the nights out. We also operate a late licence so no going to bed early!!
