Varsity Bolton is situated at the end of Churchgate opposite the Bolton Evening News office. During the afternoon and early evening you can expect to see anything from groups of lively students sharing buckets of food to office staff doing lunch and couples enjoying a glass of wine in our large heated garden. There are loads of comfy sofas in the bar and plenty of room for large groups to meet and chat.

In addition to the great Varsity menu you will find regular themed nights, fantastic buffet packages and delicious daily specials prepared to order by our head chef.

In the evening there is always something going on to keep you entertained. Whether its premiership or International football live on the big screens Quiz and Poker nights or Live bands there`s something for everyone.

The weekend is when the Varsity really comes alive. Thursday is Indie Night and drinks are two-for-one all night long. You can either dance the night away to one of the three live bands that play from 9pm, or just relax with a cocktail or a jug of beer in our massive outside seating area.

Friday and Saturday is party time at Varsity. Masses of students and student minded people flock to the bar to soak up the unique atmosphere. The music policy is strictly indie and pop with a little bit of cheese added for good measure.

Both myself and my staff work extremely hard to ensure that our customers have an enjoyable safe and friendly experience every time they visit the bar both day or night and have a great reputation in the town for being a trouble free bar.
